Log in to the WASL website by clicking on the "E-services" option.
Locate and click on your main-lease contract number.
Choose the specific Sub-lease contract that requires termination and select “Terminate”. Note: The termination of a sublease should be completed no later than 90 days after its expiry date.
Attach the required documents and click “Proceed” to submit the request.
A service Request number will be generated for your reference.
What’s next?
Termination Approval: Once your termination request is approved, the unit will be available for lease again.
Cancellation of New Sublease: If a tenant registers for a new sublease and then decides to cancel after signing the contract, the paid amount is non-refundable.
Sublease Contract Post-Termination: The sublease contract will remain in your account even after termination if there are outstanding amounts.
Required Document
Original Letter from Main Tenant: Must include NOC for termination.
Letter from Sub-tenant: Addressed to the main tenant regarding termination.
Month Bank Account Statement or Final DEWA Bill: Provide a DEWA account statement.
If Termination is Initiated After 90 Days from Contract End Date, Additional Documents Required: DEWA bill. RDC (Rental Dispute Center) case documentation. DEWA statement for 3 months before and 3 months after the contract expiry. Letter from sub-tenant. For Labor Accommodation: Both the letter of sublease and main lease will be inspected.
