  • Log in to the WASL app and go to the "E-services" option.
  • Select “Lease” under Service request category.
    Note: The request should be raised before the penalty is paid, as penalties are not refunded. If approved, penalties can be waived.
  • For bounced payment and late renewal penalty, select the category as “Waiving of Penalty” and choose relevant sub-category.
  • For early termination penalty, Select the category as “Break of lease” and choose relevant sub-category.
  • Leave a message, upload supporting documents and submit the request.

  • Select “Service Request” then select “Create new Request”.

  • Select the relevant unit under “Request on” and choose “Lease” as the request type.
  • For bounced payment and late renewal penalty, select the category as “Waiving of Penalty” and choose relevant sub-category.
  • For early termination penalty, Select the category as “Break of lease” and choose relevant sub-category.
  • Leave a message, upload supporting documents and submit the request.

  • You will receive an email with the ticket reference number.
  • The team will provide their response through a comment in the ticket.
  • If any documents are missing, none are provided within 3 days, the request will be closed, and a new request must be raised.
  • If the request to waive penalty is not approved, you must pay the penalty amount.
  • If the request to waive penalty is approved, penalty will be removed, and you would need to pay the rent amount only – taxes will remain.

Upload any evidence document as a support

  • Bank statements for the card that had the issue – with dates (if applicable)
  • Medical report (if applicable)
  • Termination letter/ resignation letter (if applicable)
  • Visa cancellation or gold visa with emirates ID (if applicable)
Fees and Charges Fees and Charges
  • Penalty for bounced payment: 520 AED
  • Penalty for late renewal: 10% of yearly rent
  • Penalty for Early Termination:
    If 4 or more months remain, pay 3 months' lease amount.
    If less than 3 months remain, pay the rest of the instalments.
Service Time Service Time
  • Standard Processing time: 5 to 7 working days, typically it takes 2 working days.
  • Working days: 8 AM to 4 PM Monday to Friday.
